cute Japanse gyaru doll style make-up tutorial

I wanted to show you how I did my make-up for a TV shooting about Japanese doll style make-up.
To be honest this is just Gyaru make-up that is very popular in Japan and is
getting known outside Japan as doll make-up.
This look is perfect for all kawaii Japanese Harajuku fashion styles ,
like lolita , fairy kei and gyaru.

Please give it a try, it is fun!

Next up will be a easy flat iron hair curling tutorial.

two TV show shootings

I was surprised to get two phone calls for two different TV shows on the same day.
One was last Friday and the other today.
The shooting from today was for SBS 6 Hart van Nederland.

The subject was Japanese style make-up.
It will be broad casted tomorrow or the day after, depends on the other news subjects.

For this shooting I decided to wear a cute x dark gyaru outfit, 

the dress is by Liz Lisa.

For the subject I did my make-up with upper and lower fake lashes.

The TV show asked me if I knew a girl who could do her make-up

in the Japanese cute style so they could film it,

I asked Jessica to do this, the result looks so pretty!

The other shooting from Friday was for the local TV station RTV Utrecht campus talk.
It will be broad casted over 2 months.
The subject was lolita and it was a talk show, they did it all in 1 take.

I wore gothic lolita mixed with classic lolita elements.
The red details and shoes make the outfit classic lolita.

The studio had cute colors haha..

I am obsessed by Vivienne Westwood jewelry, so I wear them all the time.

Wedding cake and sweets

Time goes so fast! The wedding is only 1 month away from now.
It is super fun to do all the preperations.
So here is a little update.

We have decided on our cake.
Because I am gluten intolerant I had to order a gluten free cake.
It will become a 3 layered cake.
And we ordered 1 small cake like the one below for the children that will
be at the wedding, this cake will be lactose free, because 2 kids cannot eat lactose.
The cake is marzipan with chipolata, it is delicious!!

I wanted to have Turkish wedding thank you gifts for the guests,
because I am half Turkish.
With my father I went to a shop in Amsterdam where you could buy all
the components to make these gifts.
So we got bags, candy, ribbon, hearts and the blue eye.
The candy taste like smarties.
We made different bags for the children with heart shaped candy and a
heart shaped jewel, I attached a ribbon to it, so it can be worn as a necklace later.

This week we also managed to find a suit from Hennie!

It was at the first shop we entered.

It will match my dress perfectly! Especially because Linda Friesen will make

his tie from fabric of the dress.

Lolita's on TV at the museum

Last year we were invited to visit museum Boijmans ,
this visit was filmed by TV Rijnmond for their TV show Boijmans TV.
It was on air last week.
It became a very artsy show, we didn't know about the scenes around us
with the desk girl and the transvestite.

I cannot wait to see the final result within a few weeks!

Linda is a great designer, she became 2nd at Project Catwalk,

but for me she is number 1!

Rococo inspiration

I have been fascinated by Rococo fashion for a long time.
But it always seemed very hard to incorporate in modern fashions styles.
 A few weeks ago I was asked to do the hair and make-up for a rococo style photo shoot,
with photographer Martin van Os and model Ilona. Here is the result:
I tried to keep the hair soft looking.

Last week there was a lolita high tea and the theme was rococo,
so for me this was a perfect change to try out to mix lolita with rococo.
Unfortunately the weather was horrible, so I wore simple boots.
